Fresh Salad

about me

I’m Yvonne Mullan (MSc, RD, CDE, IFNCP)

— a Registered Dietitian, with more than 20 years

of experience, and specialized training in diabetes

and integrative and functional nutrition. I am also

a late-diagnosed ADHDer raising an AuDHD teen.

I understand firsthand how hormones,
stress, executive function, sensory needs, and

real life shape the way we eat and care for ourselves.

My own health journey — from anemia and insulin resistance to menopause, fatigue, and navigating a fragmented healthcare system — led me to Integrative and Functional Nutrition. I wanted to understand why symptoms happen, not just how to manage them, and to translate complex science into practical steps that actually fit real life.

I created Spicy Brains Nutrition as a place where neurodivergent individuals can feel seen, supported, and understood — and neurotypical clients are always welcome too, especially those navigating complex health, hormones, metabolism, digestion, or chronic overwhelm.

My approach blends evidencebased dietetics, integrative and functional nutrition, and lived experience to help you build sustainable strategies that work with your life, your brain, and your capacity.

I believe in:
- Evidence-based care grounded in the latest research
- Root-cause exploration through integrative and functional nutrition
- Holistic healing that honors body, mind, and spirit
- Neuro-affirming support that’s non-judgmental and inclusive
- Collaboration with both traditional and alternative care providers
- Empowering you to trust your intuition and write your own health story

I’m not here to hand you a rigid plan.

I’m here to listen, guide, and co-create strategies that are realistic, meaningful, and sustainable for you.

You are the expert of your own experiences.

I’m just here to help you make sense of it— and nourish it.
