Why I Created Spicy Brains Nutrition
I wanted to build the space I needed — and couldn’t find. A space where neurodivergent individuals, especially adolescent girls and women, can feel seen, heard, and supported. A space where care is collaborative, shamefree, and paced to your capacity. A space where your brain is not a barrier — it’s part of the plan. Neurotypical clients are always welcome too, especially those navigating complex health, hormones, metabolism, digestion, or chronic overwhelm.
How I Practice
My approach is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and grounded in behaviour change techniques, intuitive eating and mindful eating principles. I practice in the way I wish someone had practiced with me:
Food first, always
-
Supplements only when helpful, with clear explanations
-
Functional tests only when they reduce guesswork
-
Care that matches your capacity, not an idealized version of your life
-
Support that honours sensory needs and executive function realities
-
A wholeperson approach that includes nutrition, movement, sleep, stress physiology, and nervous system awareness
At the end of each session, I offer an optional grounding or mindbody practice so you leave feeling calm, supported, and empowered — not overwhelmed.
What I Believe
I know what it’s like to feel dismissed, confused, or lost in the healthcare system — to feel like your brain and body are working against you, and to want real answers but not get them. Spicy Brains Nutrition exists because I never want anyone else to feel that way. I’m here to help you peel back the layers, understand what’s driving your symptoms, and move forward with a staged, compassionate, collaborative plan — grounded in science and lived experience — to
nourish you back to better health.
